Heart to Heart Founder & Medical Director Dr. Nilas Young is a 2016 recipient of the ACS/Pfizer International Surgical Volunteerism Award conferred annually by the American College of Surgeons.

Janet is the medical director of the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

On this trip, the Heart to Heart team is focused on education and training associated with the diagnosis, treatment, and post-operative care of newborns and infants with critical forms of congenital heart disease (CHD).

Nathan is a pediatric cardiologist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Working with our new Peruvian colleagues, our team of 10 specialists has examined more than a dozen babies and children born with moderate and severe heart defects.
